(October 17, 2011) – Country Club of Roswell (CCR) hosted theSecond Annual Esther Cannizzo Junior Golf Foundation Atlanta tournament on October17 to raise money to help junior golfers in need who dream of furthering their golf careers. The event raised over $40,000, which will help provide grants to add 30 juniorgolfers to the program in 2012. “The Esther Cannizzo Junior Golf Foundation was started in memory of mymother, an avid golfer, who shared her love of golf with children during her life andinspired us to begin this foundation in her memory,” said Jackie Cannizzo, Director of Instruction at Country Club of Roswell. “I’m so glad the participants of this year’s tournament were able to meet some of the kids they help and see how important the program is in their lives.” The Esther Cannizzo Junior Golf Foundation's mission is to promote and affect the lives of young people through the game of golf with financial assistance for coaching, tournament play, golf programs and equipment. Country Club of Roswell is a private, member-owned, family-focused country club on the east side of Roswell.
