A community is defined as a group of people with a common background or with shared interests within a society. The Country Club of Roswell is a private golf and country club comprised of people who share a love of golf and tennis and spending special times with family and friends.

But the members of this club also share a sense of community, extending a helping hand to people not just at their club but all around them. This club is about families and not just their own. The club members at CCR rally each year for several very important causes. The Tennis Pro Am hosts Bert’s Big Adventure the Women’s Golf Association’s hosts Grip, Rip & Score for North Fulton Community Charities and the Men’s Senior Golf Association’s hosts the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

The CCR Tennis Pro Am
has been raising money for great causes for 30 years. Scottish Rite, Camp Sunshine, Eggleston’s Children’s Hospital, Project Safe Place and the most recent recipient, Bert’s Big Adventure. Radio personality, Bert Weiss from Q-100 raises money for terminal and chronically ill children. Bert's charity takes chronically and terminally ill children  and their families to Disney World to help them get away from the endless every day stress of doctors, hospitals and illness.

Bert's charity along with these other fine charities have been the recipient of over $900,000 dollars raised by CCR members in the past 30 years from CCR's Tennis Pro-Am.

Ten years ago, a Group of the Country Club’s Seniors, spearheaded by CCR member Loren Conrad decided to rally for prostate cancer research forming the Cap Cure Golf Tournament (now called Prostate Cancer Foundation). Loren and his group of CCR members work tirelessly all year long to host a one day golf tournament and auction to raise money for PCF.  It is no small feat what they have accomplished. Since its inception ten years ago they have raised $340,000 for Prostate cancer research.

Five years ago, the ladies of CCR, spearheaded by CCR member Phyllis Franz decided they could help their community by starting the Mrs. Claus Golf Tournament (Christmas in July). 100% of the proceeds went to North Fulton Charities as the ladies took the time to hand make all the prizes and organized it with the club to help minimize costs.  Two years ago the tournament was renamed (Grip, rRip and Score) and has grown tremendously. The ladies have single handedly raised over $75,000 dollars through a lot of time, energy and hard work.

The inaugural Salute Military Golf Association (SMGA) Golf Tournament took place at CCR on June 30, 2011. Nearly 1.5 million Americans have served in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2002; of these, over 30,000 have returned home with some form of injury. The event raised over $6,000 to fund programs designed to help improve the mental and physical condition of the wounded soldiers returning from combat.

The Country Club of Roswell held it's 23rd annual Santa Claus Open to benefit the Santa Shop of the North Fulton Community Charities. The contestants in the event brought a toy for the Santa Shop as part of their entry into the tournament with over 125 toys being collected in total.  The Santa Shop is part of the North Fulton Community Charities Holiday Program that will help over 300 families in the North Fulton area.
