The CCR junior golfers have been keeping busy this fall competing in various tournaments throughout the southeast. There are various tours that keep the juniors active to the end of December. We at CCR can boast we have a large presence in these tours. Also our juniors are making there individual presence known by doing well in such events. For example, Katie Voll recently won her first Southeastern Junior Golf Tour event at The Wilmington Island Club. Ben Holm placed 3rd in the Georgia PGA Tour Championship at the Hampton Club. Emily Kurey won two All American Junior Golf Tour events, one at Towne Lake Hills and one at River Pines. Other juniors competing and doing well include Michael Motz, Max Van Dresser, CJ Williams, Morgan Edmondson, Lauren Judson, Shea Sylvester and Austin Glover.

Also contested this fall was the Junior Match play championship. This event started in the summer with the top 16 juniors at our club seeded and paired in a scratch traditional match play format. Also girls and boys went head to head with the only difference being the tees they played. That being said, the girls played the white tees and the boys played from the blues. There were some very close and exciting matches throughout the event. The final match came down the to the number 1 seed Michael Motz versus the number #2 seed Max Van Dresser. The match saw both players play some exceptional golf with birdies galour. The match was so close that it had to be decided in 21 holes. Michael was the eventual winner; as was the CCR junior golf program.
