Winter Junior Tennis Schedule

Junior Country Club League

The CCR Tennis Program has been working with several other nearby clubs to offer our junior players a better league play experience.  We offer a team experience every Sunday at 1pm.  We divide the players up by level, not by gender and they play on designated countries (like Davis Cup).  They receive hats from the country they are playing for and each week the points are added together and at the end of the season we have a party to wrap up the season.  The pros can make sure that each week the players are getting in good competitive tennis because we control the match-ups.  This program has been so successful that our members no longer participate in junior ALTA or USTA.

Rising Stars (Ages 3-6) (USTA QuickStart Tennis Format)

The Rising Star Tennis Program is for children between 3 and 8 years old.  Essentially, it is tennis scaled downed to the size and abilities of young players.  The youngsters will be playing on 30 feet and 60 feet courts with junior tennis racquets, foam balls and shortened nets.  The initiative behind this new program is to teach kids how to rally and to gradually introduce them to full court tennis.    

Rising Star Tennis is a fun way to develop your child’s technical, tactical and physical development, and along the way, provide your children an opportunity to love tennis and grow in the sport beginning at a very young age.  Parents:  You are also welcome to come out and participate in clinics.

Day and Time:  Friday 4:00-5:00pm. 

Cost: $60 monthly fee

Junior Excellence Clinic 

The Junior Excellence Summer Camp is for older beginners, ages 9 thru 16, who have little or no exposure to the game.  This class emphasizes basic fundamentals of forehand, backhand, serve and rules of the game.  The goal of this class is to get your older children enthusiastic about tennis and advance them to league and school tennis programs.  We will be adding a Short Court League to this program to help our kids learn about match play on a scaled down court.  This will allow them to experience the competition and they will have a much quicker learning curve with the smaller courts.

Days and Time:   Tuesday and Thursday 4:00-5:00pm. 

Cost: $120 monthly fee for Tuesday and Thursday.  $60 for one day per week.

Davis Cup League Program

The Davis Cup League is tailored towards intermediate and advanced children, ages 8 and up.  Each participant from Country Club of Roswell, Atlanta Athletic Club and Standard Club will be put on a team/ country, clinic on Wednesday evenings, and play matches each Sunday.  This new league is an 8 week commitment and is a great way to learn how to compete and get involved in team tennis.

Each child will receive a hat of their respective country, and at the end of the season, the winning team will be come away with Davis Cup trophies.

Wednesday Clinic: 6:00 - 7:00pm.   

Sunday Davis Cup Match Day: 1:00 - 3:00pm. 

League Fee:  $35.00 for 8 weeks of league play, team country hat, prizes, and season finale pizza party.

Cost: $60.00 monthly fee for Wednesday Clinic. A minimum of 3 participants must be signed up for the month to hold the clinic.
