Country Club of Roswell’s Director of Tennis, Matt Grayson, played most of his tennis career in Texas, but his family members are native Georgians. He is a graduate of Baylor University with degrees in Business Broadcasting and marketing. While attending school, he played tennis and volleyball for the university. As a summer job, he played on the Jose Cuervo Beach Volleyball Tour. This was a two-on-two professional sand volleyball tour in Florida.
Matt has spent his entire teaching career in the Atlanta area. He began as an assistant tennis professional at Atlanta Country Club and Atlanta Athletic Club and then moved to Laurel Springs as the head tennis professional. In 2003, Matt joined the Country Club of Roswell staff as the head tennis professional and moved into the director role in 2004.
Matt is certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association with a Professional-1 rating and has served on many boards and committees on the local and southern levels. Matt was honored as the Head Professional of the Year 1999-2002 by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association and as the Southern Professional of the Year by the USPTA in 2002 and 2003. Matt also enjoys spending time with his wife, Tiffany, and daughter, Sophia.
JD Hall has been teaching at Country Club of Roswell since 2002 and oversees the Adult program. J.D. is a certified P-1 United States Tennis Professional and was named Head Tennis Professional of the Year in 2007 by the Georgia Professional Tennis Association. J.D. enjoys watching Boston Sports, and hanging out with his wife Autumn, and his stepson Paxton.
Chris Hutchinson has just joined the Country Club of Roswell staff as Head Professional in June of 2009. Prior to his relocation to Atlanta, Chris resided in Burlington, NC., where he worked at Alamance Country Club as the Director of Juniors. Before coming to Alamance, Chris spent two summers working in Fairfield, CT., at the Patterson Club as an First Assistant. It was in Connecticut that he found his niche in the teaching world. At the Patterson Club, Chris worked with one of the larger junior programs in the area as well as many adult league teams. Chris is a graduate from Ferris State University, where he specialized in the Professional Tennis Management program. This program is a 4 year Marketing degree that focuses on tennis player’s looking to expand their tennis teaching career. The PTM program is the largest of its kind in the United States. In high school, Chris took home the 2002, 2 Doubles State Championship. Chris is a native of Walloon Lake, Michigan.
Bonnie Weaver has been the Tennis Shop Manager since January 2002. Bonnie enjoys playing tennis, as well as helping the membership with their tennis needs. Bonnie's background is in Fashion Merchandising. Bonnie enjoys spending time with her husband, Bill, and two kids, Nikki and Brad.
