The Country Club of Roswell has had a Women’s Golf Association for over 30 years.  We have in excess of 120 members who subscribe to the ‘WGA’ consisting of 18 Hole Saturday Business Ladies, 18 Hole Wednesday Ladies and a very popular 9 Hole group who also play Wednesdays and Saturdays.  All the WGA groups are very ‘active’ and well attended throughout the year.

Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoons are allocated as WGA ‘play days’ when each group gets together to play a ‘friendly’ tournament.  There are also several more formal tournaments held throughout the year culminating in a Club Championship tournament towards the end of the season.

The 18 Hole membership has to have a handicap of 40 or lower.  Anyone with a handicap in excess of that play with the 9 Hole group.  Many 9 Hole members ‘learn’ the game within this group and move on to the 18 Hole group.

The 18 Hole group belong to ‘Tara’ which consists of approximately 12 clubs which are played throughout a 2 year cycle.  This 18 Hole group also plays ‘Team Play’ against 6 other clubs in the area consisting of home and away, match play events.

The 9 Hole group has Exchange Days with other clubs in the area and currently their subscription includes golf clinics, couples tournaments and ‘Lunch and Learn’ where one of our Club Professionals will talk about rules, etiquette, techniques etc.

The Country Club of Roswell WGA has been a firm supporter of local and nationwide charities over the years, organizing tournaments in aid of the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Fund and most recently North Fulton Community Charities, donating many thousands of dollars to these worthy causes.
